DMTC surgery

Councillors’ Surgeries
Downham Market Town Councillors’ hold a regular Monthly Surgery outside the Town Hall from April to October. This is an opportunity for any members of the public to have a word with the Councillors present on any matter to do with the Town. Usually three or four Councillors will be there each month to talk with you

VOLUNTEERS WANTED

The Town Council undertakes many tasks on behalf of residents, but with our ever-increasing population, the number of events and organisations that we are involved with means that we are at times extremely stretched.

The Environmental Sub-Committee are therefore looking for a team of willing volunteers who could help out with various tasks, including several who could be called on at fairly short notice for example, if we had a heavy snow fall, to help clear the pathways or help tidy the town prior to major events.

There is no limit to the number of volunteers needed so the more we have on file, the better. Also, if you feel you could only give an hour very occasionally – don’t be put off – it would still be very much appreciated.

You will be fully insured whilst working as a volunteer for the Town Council.

Contact the Town Council on 01366 387770 for more information or to be added to the list.
